WhatsApp Payment feature is now available for some users in India
The new feature is now limited to Android version 2.18.113 and is expected to be rolled out to iOS users as well. Currently, this feature is only available for Android users and not for the iOS users. According to WABetaInfo, the Twitter account that tracks changes in WhatsApp's beta builds, the company is rolling out a new feature for Android that will enable users to again download media files that they may have accidentally deleted. But now those files can be re-downloaded, thanks to the latest update.
WhatsApp on Android will let users re-download old images and videos that might have been deleted from the user's mobile storage. It has chose to store all the messages and multimedia content on its server even if it is downloaded by the user.
The report also adds and states that they were able to successfully download images and videos received a couple of months back on the version 2.18.113. Earlier, it fixed a timestamp issue found in the WhatsApp beta version 2.18.109.
WhatsApp stores the media content for 30 days until you download it on your device. The report added that the feature does not seem to allow to download media files that are too old, instead, asking us to send a request to the sender to send the media again. For instance, Yesterday became "89ESTERDAY" and Today became "84ODAY".
