Google Drive is now 'Google One.' What's the difference?
You also get special "one-tap access to experts" from Google "for help with our consumer products and services". Google says Drive users will be automatically be updated to Google One "over the coming months", starting with the US. With Google One, you can add up to five family members to your plan and simplify storage under one bill. The plan is to offer various perks to One subscribers, but Google is vague on what that will entail. You can check and/or change your channel! Each user will get his/her own, private storage and the same benefits as the rest of their household. The company today announced Google One, an upgrade to its Google Drive paid plans for consumers, providing extended storage for lower costs. Users will also gain access to extras from other Google products such as credits on Google Play or deals on select hotels found in Google Search.
Google users now get 15GB of free storage for their accounts, with Google One there will be new tiers available with Google advising 100GB plans will start at $1.99USD, with 200GB costing $2.99USD and 2TB will be available for $9.99USD per month. Cloud storage providers such as Dropbox, Google, Apple, and Microsoft have led the way in providing a limited amount of free cloud storage. If you simply want online storage, Google's Drive plans are the better bet, comparatively. But it's not too much of a stretch to assume Google will eventually offer Google One plans with YouTube Red, YouTube Music, Google Express. According to Google, this won't affect G Suite business customers.

As noted, the US has a new tariff plan to 200 GB for $2.99 per month. Hopefully the rollout goes off without a hitch and we can get our hands on these new features sooner rather than later.
