Emily: Pokemon RPG For Nintendo Switch To Be Revealed This Month, Released In 2018
Domain registrar CSC Corporate Domains, Inc. has registered both http://pokemonletsgopikachu.com/ and http://pokemonletsgoeevee.com, which now direct to blank pages.
While this shouldn't be taken as official confirmation that the PokemonLet's Go rumors are true, this certainly tosses more fuel on an already raging fire. Not only that but the same company set up the domain names for Pokémon Sun & Moon a day before they were announced, and are even listed as the registrar for Nintendo itself. That could easily just be a deflection tactic to enhance the surprise when the real project is revealed at E3, but we'll see soon enough. Pikachu Edition and PokémonLet's GO!
Rumours that the these two titles would appear on the Switch were sparked yesterday, with a leaked image on 4chan. However, it does seem like the current plan for the Nintendo Switch versions of Pokemon is for the games to serve as a remake of Pokemon Yellow. On top of that, there are things that the Switch is more suited for that mobile devices are not, meaning that some of the aspects of Pokemon GO that mobile gamers have long requested could come to life on console instead. At this time, it's not clear whether that will be the primary way you catch Pokemon or just an option.
So, when are we going to actually see the game? It could forsake the traditional trappings of previous games on the Nintendo 3DS for a format not too dissimilar to Pokemon Go.
