The ex-girlfriend of Reuben Foster, the San Francisco 49ers linebacker out of Alabama who was arrested on domestic violence charges earlier this year, testified Thursday that she lied about the allegations. She describes her motivations as a "money scheme" and out of anger over the breakup, and testified that she threatened him.
"I'm sorry, I really am", Ennis said.
Ennis tesified for about two hours and also admitted stealing from Foster, according to Inman.
Ennis admitted that after making the accusations against Foster, she returned home to Louisiana with Foster's money and jewelry, according to Inman.
"I wanted to sue Reuben".
She said Foster told her he "can't do it anymore" and that she responded by telling him she was "going to f-k your s-t up and make sure you don't have a job tomorrow".

'I wanted him to go down, ' she said.
Ennis, Foster's ex-girlfriend, was on the stand Thursday for a preliminary hearing for Foster's felony domestic violence charge related to a February 11 incident in which Ennis claimed Foster ruptured her eardrum.
Elissa Ennis would go on to retract everything she said about Foster, including admitting to being in a fight with another woman that caused her injuries.
She also claimed in court that all of her statements to police were lies, and that she began recanting them two days later. "I took more than money".
Ennis initially told authorities that she needed the phone because Foster broke hers but she said that wasn't true and testified Thursday that she threw her phone at Foster after he broke up with her. "No, sir. Not once", she said.
A video of Ennis' fight with another woman was given to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office for review in late April, causing the district attorney to delay Foster's plea hearing until last week. That determination by Judge Nona Klippen has not been made as of this posting.
