According to Philadelphia's 6ABC, the Eagles have been invited to the White House on June 5 to celebrate their Super Bowl LII victory over the New England Patriots.

The set date comes about a month after the White House confirmed it was planning a visit. The organization took its time weighing the political consequences the visit would effectuate, and until now is still undecided. "We are honored to receive this invitation and view this not only as an opportunity to be recognized for our on-field achievements but also as an opportunity to engage in productive dialogue with the leaders of our country".

Despite that account, the entire team isn't necessarily excited about the official invite. In fact, some have sworn they won't go.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie seems to agree - in a private meeting with Eagles players, Lurie allegedly called Trump "disastrous". "He's fired. He's fired!", President Trump in this past September, per There are some players who do, too....

Last year, the Patriots visited the White House on April 19, 2017, so this trip will come considerably later. It's a celebratory event, and I want the guys who choose to go or whatever to enjoy that. Are you kidding me?...

There are plenty of folks who think players should just go to the White House for the experience.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham is recovering from right ankle surgery and could miss the team's spring workouts, Tim McManus of ESPN reports.

"I don't have a message for the president".

The 30-year-old Graham was the 13 overall pick by the Eagles in the 2010 draft and has spent his entire eight-year National Football League career in Philadelphia.

"From a team standpoint, some guys have dreamed, you know, of being able to win a championship and take a visit to The White House and we're not trying to deny that to anybody". I just don't see it.

Alongside those players who already committed to skipping the White House visit, there are some who are a little unsure. "We hope to have something finalized in the next couple of weeks".
